The Performance Improvement Process

We closely examine a company’s existing performance vs. desired performance to determine the best solutions for bottom line improvements.

While every situation is unique, our process includes:

  • Gaining a clear understanding of the current situation
  • Examining the client’s key performance indicators
  • Determining whether the company is implementing sound measurement methodology; understanding what they’re measuring and how it relates to bottom line performance
  • Culling the measurements list to remove unnecessary factors
  • Analyzing current process capability
  • Comparing objective data with that of companies of similar size and technologies to reveal areas of weakness
  • Designing programs or reprocessing current systems

Choosing the Right Program

Our financial tools enable us to measure a specific project’s potential contribution to the client.

We generally assess operational strength in terms of quality; we measure first-time yield in defective PPM's, scrap dollars, rework, repairs, not achieving run rate, and the cost of poor quality. We take the measurement results, equate them against true cost, and prioritize projects in terms of those that will result in the best return.
